The Physics Career Research Presentation was an introduction to the different areas and careers associated with physics and how you can get into that specific field. We got to chose which area we researched and learned about other areas as well during our classmates presentations. This project best addressed my information skills. I had to research not just what astrophysics is but also what classes you need to take to become an astrophysicist and sub-areas of astrophysics. I'm really proud of how my slides turned out. I think they look really pretty and the information isn't too overwhelming. The hardest part of this project was researching the classes you need to take for an astrophysics degree. I had to go to multiple university websites and even then I don't think I quite met the requirements the assignment asked for. If I redid this project I would definitely fix that and I would probably include some photos of astrophysicists at work. Last year I did a project almost exactly like this except it was on ocean engineering instead. This project would definitely help me if I want to become an astrophysicist and I would also know how to find the required classes for whatever path I end up choosing.

Everyone in yearbook had to create a design for the senior pages in the 2022 yearbook before we voted on the final design. Each senior gets half a page consisting of three photos, their senior portrait, baby photo and one other photo of their choice, their senior quote, plans after graduation and the template needed to match the theme. This project best addressed my communication skills. I talked with Ms. Getzen and my classmates frequently, discussing what the pages needed to have and different ideas for the layout. The hardest part of this project sizing everything. The grid on the website isn't in inches or centimeters and the fonts always look really small. I ended up looking at about how big or small the font sizes usually are and judging how it looks proportionally to the page size. I wouldn't change much if I redid this project, I already revised it a lot and I'm proud of the final product. This project was a little like making a google slide but otherwise it doesn't relate to much I've learned in the past. Making the template really helped me figure out the yearbook website so hopefully designing other pages will be easier.

This assignment used real-life applications of systems of equations. We were given two word problems and had write equations and inequalities using the information from the word problem. We graphed the equations and used the different vertexes to find which combination allowed for maximum profit. This project best addressed my financial, economic and business literacy skills. It taught me how a business or company can optimize profit and how they can calculate to find that optimal value. I am most proud of how well my group worked on this assignment. We got through the assignment quickly and the only thing we had trouble with was that we thought the shape was supposed to be triangular and we figured we had done something wrong when it turned out to be a quadrilateral. If I redid this project I might graph all the lines and shade everything so you can see where the answer can from. This assignment combined a lot of what we learned in unit 2 and in the future it would help me maximize profit for anything I'm selling.

The One-Pager is the elevator pitch for our Junior Projects. My One-Pager includes the title, a painting of what the mural will look like, my driving question, why it matters, my first step and my mentors and partners for my Junior Project. This project best addressed my thinking and problem solving skills. I had an idea for my junior project but this made me think about why I was doing this project and what my project was doing for the community. It was especially difficult to come up with a driving question given that I didn't start with any sort of question and there had to be a way to measure the success of my project. I'm most proud of how this project helped me develop my project, especially the sample which gave me a more concrete idea of what the final product would look like. If I were to redo this project, I would try to make the sharks look more like tiger sharks, making them longer and adding stripes. and I would spell tiger sharks correctly (two words not one). I don't think I've done anything like this before except for the painting. This is hopefully going to help me develop my senior project and make it easier now that I've done something similar and know at least a little of what to expect.
